Dear Visitor,
Kindly acknowledge the information on this page before visiting VFS Global for visa application.

All applicants must fully comply with relevant documentation required for respective visa categories. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Therefore, before visiting Visa Application Centre, applicants are requested for their kind cooperation in making sure that the recommended documents are provided and sorted out as per the checklist.

1.In order to schedule an appointment for Belgium Visa Application Center, please visit https://www.vfsglobal.com/Belgium/Iran/ and follow the instructions in Schedule an Appointment section.
• Applicants need to be present at the Visa Application Center not earlier than 15 minutes before and not later than 45 minutes after their scheduled appointment time.

2. Visa Application Form must be filled out online at web.diplomatie.be and a printout of the form should be provided.

3. Section 36 and 37 of the form must be signed and dated (AD date and in Latin language). For children below 18 years old, both parent must sign the mentioned sections.

4. All documents must be officially translated.

5. The booking dates of hotel and airline ticket must exactly match the dates written in visa application form – section 29 and 30.
• Applicants are required to provide a travel insurance with minimum coverage of 30.000 Euros for the whole of stay. Multiple Entry visa demands Multiple insurances, or an insurance that at least covers the first travel.

6. The copy of all documents must be in A4 size. Applicants must provide:
• The copy of the first page of passport and pages containing previously granted visas in A4 size
• A back and front copy of invitation letter (3 BIS form).
• For the proof of relationship with inviting person: official translation of Certificate of Birth that indicates family relationship is required.
• For proving friendship relationships: unofficial documents such as photos, chats, or other unofficial proofs are required.
• For long-term visa applications, 3 copies of all documents are required.

7. For long-term visa applications, Administrative Fee must be paid at dofi.ibz.be and 3 copies of the payment receipt must be provided.

8.Please note that your documents must be legalized by the Belgium Embassy before submitting your long stay visa application at our center.

Application without the legalized documents is considered as incomplete and will not be accepted.

9. The processing time of Belgium visa applications:
• Short-term Visa Application: 1 to 3 months
• Long-term Visa Applications: 3 to 6 months.

Visa Application Fee:
Belgium Visa Application fee is as the following:

Short Stay:

• For adults: 80 Euros
• For 6 to 12 year-old children: 40 Euros
• For children below 6 years: Free
• VFS Global Service Fee: 26 Euros per application

Long Stay:

• 180 Euros per application*
• VFS Global Service Fee: 26 Euros per application

Note for Afghan nationals:

If you are an Afghan national who wishes to travel to Belgium/Luxembourg, you must apply for a visa through the Embassy of Belgium in Islamabad: Visas for Belgium and Luxembourg | Belgium in Pakistan.

However, if you are a permanent resident in Iran, or the person you are eligible to join in Belgium has received international protection (refugee status or subsidiary protection), you can apply for a visa appointment through the Embassy of Belgium in Tehran.

In case you meet one of these conditions, you are invited to send a mail enclosing a scan of the supporting documents (Iranian residence permit with translation, proof of Belgian protection status of the person to be joined) to the Embassy: tehran.visa@diplobel.fed.be

Important Notice :

Appointment is required for Long-Term & Short-Term applications. To confirm your appointment, you would have to pay an amount of IRR 2,000,000. This amount would be refunded to your bank account when you honor the appointment and validly submit your application on the date and time allotted. Appointments once booked cannot be cancelled. The applicant has to schedule a new appointment in case of no-show or where documents to be submitted were incomplete or not available or submission could not be completely processed on the allotted date for any reason.
However, do note that you are allowed to reschedule your appointment twice and up to 2 working day prior to your scheduled date, (subject to availability of appointments), free of cost (a total of two attempts). Any further changes of the date or becoming No-Show will be considered as a new appointment, where the fresh booking fee would be payable and no refund available on the old amount paid. Applicants cannot walk into the Visa centre without a prior valid appointment under any circumstances.
If you are part of a family or group, you’ll have to book individual appointments for each member of the family or group.

It has been brought to our notice that certain individuals or agents/companies are trying to “Sell” appointments, pretending they work for VFS Global or are authorised by VFS or even the Embassies. Please do note that they are fraudsters, acting illegally and have no authorisations from anyone. These agents are NOT working for VFS Global. Please do not fall prey to such rackets and lose your money and even your precious documents. If you get a call or are approached by anyone in this behalf, please immediately report the same at info.belgiumiran@vfshelpline.com.
