All applicants must fully comply with relevant documentation required for respective visa categories. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Therefore, before visiting Visa Application Centre, applicants are requested for their kind cooperation in making sure that the recommended documents are provided and sorted out as per the checklist.
1.In order to schedule an appointment for Finland Visa Application Center, please visit https://www.vfsglobal.com/Finland/Iran/ and follow the instructions in Schedule an Appointment section.
• Applicants need to be present at the Visa Application Center not earlier than 15 minutes before and not later than 45 minutes after their scheduled appointment time.
2. The required documents for any type of visa -such as Tourism and Family Visit, are listed in the Check List section at https://www.vfsglobal.com/Finland/Iran/
3. The reservation dates of the hotel, flight ticket, and travel insurance duration should overlap each other.
• Multiple Entry visa demands Multiple insurances.
• Travel insurance with minimum coverage of 30.000 Euros for the whole of your stay is required
• Travel insurance must be originally stamped by the insurance company. The stamp is not required for the insurances issued online.
4. Translation of documents are only valid for 6 months.
5. All copies must be in A4 size.
6. Applicants need to provide copies of a) travel insurance, b) the first page of passport, and c) any Schengen, Canada, America, England, and Australia visa that has been issued within the last 3 years.
7. All required documents must be officially translated. The stamps of Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs are not required.
8. Certificate of Financial Ability and bank account statement of the last 3 months must be issued no earlier than a week from the appointment.
9. Invitation Letters must include inviting person’s details and signature as well as applicant’s details.
• Providing identification documents of the inviting person is mandatory.
• If the inviting person is a Finnish citizen, his/her resident card or Finnish passport must be provided.
• In case the inviting person holds Czech residence permit, s/he has to provide a copy of resident card that is valid for the whole of applicant’ stay, and a copy of non-Finnish passport
10. In cases of children below 18 years old, the application form has to be signed by both parents. If the minor travels with only one parent, the consent of the parental authority done by a notary public along with the translation are required.
11. Applicants must possess a passport that is valid for at least three months (90 days) after the date of exit from Schengen Area.
12. Applicants are advised to apply for their visas at least 15 days before their date of travel.
13. All applicants must be present in interview session.
Visa Application Fee:
• For adults: 80 Euros
• For 6 to 12 year-old children: 40 Euros
• For children below 6 years: Free
• VFS Global Service Fee: 29 Euros per application
Important Information:
-Please note that from January 19, 2022, a checklist of required visa application documents will be available on the online visa application portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland https://finlandvisa.fi. You do not need to log into the portal to review the requirements for your visa application types, but there is a link to the checklists on the front page of the portal. When you fill the online visa application form from January 19, 2022 onwards, you will also need to fill a checklist of required documents based on the main purpose of your travel in the online portal. Each online visa application form will be accompanied by a checklist of required documents. For example, if you represent a travel agency and fill out visa applications on behalf of your clients, you should fill out a separate checklist for each applicant. The checklists are printed from the portal along with the visa application forms and sent to the visa application center along with the visa application documents.
-Keeping in mind the health and safety of all our customers and employees in view of the ongoing COVID-19 physical distancing guidelines, passports will be returned back only by courier till further notice for all Finland visa customers, effective 01.09.2020. This measure applies to Finland Visa Application Centres globally. The primary purpose of this measure is to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus amongst our customers and employees. The measure is expected to be in place until the risk perception of COVID-19 is significantly reduced. The fee for this service is Euro 10 for Inside Tehran and Euro 14 for Outside Tehran.
-European commission has made a decision to completely suspend the visa facilitation agreement with Russia starting Monday 12th of September 2022. Full visa fee (80 euro) will be collected from all applicants in all application categories. Visa fee for minors from 6 to 12 years old will be 40 euro.
-Appointments scheduled after 1400 Hrs. will be treated as Prime Time Appointment and would be charged 40 Euros extra over and above the Service Fees.
