Dear Visitor,
Kindly acknowledge the information on this page before visiting VFS Global for visa application.

All applicants must fully comply with relevant documentation required for respective visa categories. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Therefore, before visiting Visa Application Centre, applicants are requested for their kind cooperation in making sure that the recommended documents are provided and sorted out as per the checklist.

1.In order to schedule an appointment for France Visa Application Center, please visit https://www.vfsglobal.com/france/Iran/ and follow the instructions in Schedule an Appointment section.
• Applicants need to be present at the Visa Application Center not earlier than 15 minutes before and not later than 45 minutes after their scheduled appointment time.

2. For France Visa Application, please visit www.france.visas.gouv.fr, create an account and fill in the application form online. Please bring with you the reference number obtained from France-Visas website.
3. Applicants can apply for the following types of visa at Visa Application Center.

A. Short-stay Visa
• Tourism
• Business trips
• Family visits
• Study: Not exceeding 3 months
• Research: Not exceeding 3 months
• Spouse of a French National
• Visiting French citizen child(s)

B. Long-stay Visa
• Study
• Research
• Joining a student in France: For spouse and children below 18 years
• Joining a researcher in France: For spouse and children below 18 years

3. The reservation dates of the hotel, flight ticket, and travel insurance duration should overlap each other.
• Multiple Entry visa demands Multiple insurances.
• Travel insurance with minimum coverage of 30.000 Euros for the whole of your stay is required

4. Translation of documents are only valid for 6 months.
• For short-stay visa, documents originally in Farsi, must be officially translated to French or English.
• For long-stay visa, documents must be translated to French only.
• Translated documents are not required to be verified by Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice.

5. All copies must be in A4 size.

6. Certificate of financial ability and bank account statement of the last 3 months must be issued no earlier than a week (7 days) from the appointment.
7. Invitation Letters must include inviting person’s details and signature as well as applicant’s details. The invitation letter should be submitted to the respected municipality by the inviting person.
• Providing identification documents of the inviting person is mandatory.
• If the inviting person is a French citizen, his/her resident card or passport must be provided.
• In case the inviting person holds French residence permit, s/he has to provide a copy of resident card that is valid for the whole of applicant’ stay, and a copy of non-France passport
8. In cases of minors, the application form has to be signed by both parents. If the minor travels alone or with only one parent, the consent of the parental authority done by a notary public along with the translation are required.
9. Applicants must possess a passport that is valid for at least three months (90 days) after the date of exit from Schengen Area.
10. Applicants are advised to apply for their visas at least 15 days before their date of travel.
11. On the day of submission, presence of the children below 12 years old is not mandatory.
12. Applicants need to provide copies of a) travel insurance, b) the first page of passport, and c) any Schengen, Canada, America, England, and Australia visa that has been issued within the last 3 years.
13. Travel insurance must be originally stamped by the respective insurance company, unless the insurance has been issued online.

Visa Application Fee:
Applicants must pay for Visa Application Fee and VFS Global Service Fee at visa application center. Please note that VFS Global Service Fee is applicable per application.

A. Short-stay Visa Application Fee
• For Adults: 80 Euros
• For 6 to 12 year-old children: 40 Euros
• For children below 6 years: Free
• VFS Global Service Fee: 40 Euros per application
• For short-stay Research visa application with Convention d’accueil, the visa fee is free, however VFS Global Service fee is applicable.

B. Long-stay Visa Application Fee
• For Teachers: 50 Euros
• For family members joining a student or researcher in France: 99 Euros
• VFS Global Service Fee: 25 Euros per application
• For long-stay Research visa application with Convention d’accueil, the visa application fee is free, however VFS Global Service fee is applicable.

Important Information:

-Effective 01 January 2022, all applicants who have been issued a Schengen Visa by France Embassy in Iran on or after 2018 onwards are exempted from biometric enrollment for Short Stay visa application (Schengen Visa). Applicants need to ensure that the copy of their visa is provided in their application. Please note that this exemption is not applicable if Schengen visa is issued by any other Schengen country.
The Biometrics excepted applicants can introduce an authorized person to submit the application on their behalf. Applicants need to issue an Authorization Letter in name of the person who has been authorized. Click here to Download the Authorization Letter.
Please note that regardless of the biometric exemption, it is mandatory to schedule an appointment to be able to submit the application at VFS.

-France Visa for Afghan Applicants

Considering the current situation in Afghanistan, you can apply for your France Visa in our VFS France Visa Application in Tehran, only on Mondays from 08:00 AM to 14:00 PM.
Please note that we will only accept your application if you provide the complete documents. Please ensure that you fill your Visa Application Form online on France-Visas.

You must contact Campus France in Iran if you are applying for below visa categories:
Study Visa (Short and Long Stay)
Research and Scientific Visa, with Convention d'Accueil (Short and Long Stay)
Family of Student/Scientific (Spouse and Children)

-Appointment is required for all applicants. To confirm your appointment, you would have to pay an amount of IRR 2,000,000. This amount would be refunded to your bank account when you honor the appointment and validly submit your application on the date and time allotted.
Appointments once booked cannot be cancelled. The applicant has to schedule a new appointment in case of no-show or where documents to be submitted were incomplete or not available or submission could not be completely processed on the allotted date for any reason. However, do note that you are allowed to reschedule your appointment twice and up to 2 working day prior to your scheduled date, (subject to availability of appointments), free of cost (a total of two attempts). Any further changes of the date or becoming No-Show will be considered as a new appointment, where the fresh booking fee would be payable and no refund available on the old amount paid. Applicants cannot walk into the Visa center without a prior valid appointment under any circumstances.
Please Note: Application will not be accepted at VFS Global if Appointment is booked under wrong Visa category or doesn’t come under the allowed Category of Exceptions. Under these circumstances the bookings amount will not be refunded.
Following the instructions of the French Authorities to fight against false pretexts for booking an appointment, the VFS center will not accept a request if the appointment does not correspond to the type of visa for which it was booked. Where applicable, I also agree to have my body temperature checked by contactless infrared thermometer and to the obligation to leave the visa center in the event of an abnormal result. -Appointments scheduled From 1500 Hrs. will be treated as Prime Time Appointment and would be charged 40 Euros extra over and above the Service Fees.
